Shailendra Singh is one of India's most prolific and multi-dimensional creative entrepreneurs. Over a career spanning three decades, he has built industries, launched movements and told stories that have shaped Indian culture.

As Joint Managing Director of Percept Ltd - India's first and largest entertainment, media and communications conglomerate — he creatively produced and released 72 feature films including the National Award-winning Kanchivaram, Page 3, Phir Milenge, Hanuman and Dor. He created India's first commercial animation film, first social cause cinema, and launched the country's first global talent management company - debuting Aishwarya Rai, Hrithik Roshan, Sushmita Sen, Saurav Ganguly and Yuvraj Singh. He brokered over $3.2 billion in sports marketing deals, including the largest cricket sponsorship in history.

In 2007 he founded Sunburn - which grew to become Asia's largest music festival and the world's third largest dance music festival by 2014. He remains the only Indian ever ranked in the inthemix ‘50 Most Powerful People in EDM.’

His debut novel F?@k Knows reached #1 on the HT-Nielsen Bestseller list within 45 days of publication and was nominated for the Crossword Popular Choice Award. He has since published two further books. His philanthropic venture Guestlist4Good has educated 128,200 underprivileged children through the Magic Bus programme, a movement celebrated by the United Nations.

His ‘Unplugged Cinema’ series - featuring Sergei Polunin, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones - has screened at international film festivals worldwide. His current film Ladoo, a Marathi black and white drama co-produced with Sonia Nassery Cole, has been submitted to the Cannes Film Festival. He is the writer, director and co-producer.
